The First Deputy Chairman of the Government Denis Manturov, as part of a working trip to the Ulyanovsk region, visited the production site of the branch of JSC “IL” – “Aviastar”. The First Deputy Prime Minister, together with the authorized representative of the President in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexey Russkikh, General Director of the state corporation “Rostec” Sergey Chemezov, and the head of PJSC “UAC” Vadim Badaev, took part in the festive event on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Ulyanovsk Aviation Industrial Complex.
Today, the branch of JSC “Il” – “Aviastar”, one of the most promising enterprises in Russia, occupies a worthy place among the world’s leading manufacturers of aviation technology. The production capacities of the aircraft plant allow for the successful implementation of large-scale innovative projects in the creation of aviation technology. “Aviastar” has a wide range of technological operations – from stamping and machining to final assembly, ground and flight testing, and is also the largest employer in the Ulyanovsk region.
