Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting on the fuel market situation with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport, the St. Petersburg Exchange, and industry companies.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues of ensuring the balance of fuel supply and demand in the domestic market during the summer period were considered.
Participants of the meeting assessed the effectiveness of the support measures already implemented in the industry, as well as identified further actions aimed at saturating the domestic fuel market and maintaining its sustainable functioning. It was noted that the situation with ensuring the domestic market for motor fuel is under constant control of the Ministry of Energy. All decisions made are aimed at maintaining the stability of oil product supplies to consumers and preventing the occurrence of local imbalances in the market.
Alexander Novak emphasized that the main task at the current stage remains the reliable provision of the domestic fuel market, timely deliveries, as well as constant monitoring and control of prices to create conditions for the availability of petroleum products for consumers. For the next meeting of the headquarters, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the relevant departments to prepare a detailed analysis of the situation with pricing on petroleum products.
