Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev visited Saratov Oblast on a working trip. Together with the region’s head, Roman Busargin, he inspected the sowing areas of the agrofirm “Pegas” and familiarized himself with the implementation plan of the comprehensive rural development program.
Saratov Oblast is the largest producer of grain and oilseed crops in the Volga region based on last year’s results. The Deputy Prime Minister inspected the fields of the agricultural firm “Pegas,” which specializes in growing grain and technical crops, and familiarized himself with the technologies for cultivating corn. In particular, to achieve a stable and decent harvest of agricultural crops, the enterprise is gradually expanding land reclamation of agricultural lands.
Traditionally, the Saratov region is actively involved in the work on transforming the appearance of the Russian village. Dmitry Patrushev visited the Balakovo district, where a new housing development is planned. Within the framework of the state program, sewage networks have already been installed there, gas supply system installation work has been carried out, and the construction of an intra-settlement road continues. This will allow for the full provision of infrastructure to 440 plots of land.
“Rural development is an extremely important issue for the region and for our country as a whole. Since 2020, a separate state program “Comprehensive development of rural areas” has been implemented. I note that the work is conducted in dialogue with “United Russia.” The party annually supports the allocation of significant funding for activities aimed at the development of rural areas. As a result, over the past period, taking into account the current year, the amount of funds allocated to this program amounted to almost 500 billion rubles. Transformations, taking into account the current year, amount to about 13 thousand.Dmitry Patrushev noted.
Since the beginning of the implementation of the state program in the Saratov region, its events have covered about 250 thousand rural residents. Schools, kindergartens, cultural centers, communal facilities, and roads have been built and modernized in the districts of the region. One example is the village of Repnoye, where thanks to the implementation of the state program, the school additionally received 100 student places and switched to a single-shift operation mode.
In the current year, work on the development of small settlements in the region continues – the implementation of various activities is planned in 34 municipalities.
During the course of the working trip, the Vice Premier also met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the agro-industrial enterprises group “Resurs”, Viktor Nauruzov. The company is the largest poultry meat producer in Russia, holds strong positions in the crop production sector and in the food industry.
