Beijing, June 18 /Xin Hua/ — China calls on the countries of the “Group of Seven” (G7) to practically adhere to the principles of market economy and international trade and economic rules, to stop using the rules of the “small clique” to undermine the international trade and economic order, stated the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Lin Ziyan on Thursday.
The Chinese diplomat thus commented at yet another departmental press conference on the joint G7 statement, which primarily focuses on reducing dependence on any single supplier of critically important minerals. This statement is widely regarded as a call to reduce dependence on China.
According to him, China’s position on ensuring the stability and security of global production chains and supply chains of essential minerals remains unchanged.
