Kazan /Russia/, June 17 /Sinhua/ — President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, in a greeting to the participants and guests of the Russia-ASEAN business forum, noted the solid experience of cooperation and expressed confidence that the decisions of the Russia-ASEAN summit will contribute to the socio-economic development of both sides.

“The current forum, held in the hospitable capital of Tatarstan, Kazan, by leading representatives of the business communities of our country and ASEAN member states, has special significance. This year marks the 35th anniversary of Russia-ASEAN relations. During this time, we have accumulated solid experience in multifaceted cooperation, established stable ties, including between the business advisory boards of the association and the Russia-ASEAN business council, creating a good foundation for the future,” the welcoming telegram published on the Kremlin website says.

The President noted that today among the new tasks is the active implementation of digital products based on artificial intelligence. Broad prospects are opening up in the fields of energy and food security, exchange of advanced technologies, cooperation in the area of peaceful atomic energy, transport, and logistics.

“It is important that in the same directions our partners working on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union and other associations, representatives of which are present at the forum,” the greeting states.

Putin expressed confidence that “the decisions of the Russia-ASEAN summit will provide opportunities for further advancement of mutually beneficial trade, investment, industrial cooperation, expansion of direct dialogue between business communities, thereby promoting the socio-economic development of our states.” –0–
