First of all, I want to express sincere gratitude to Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyayev, to all Uzbek partners for the traditional hospitality, warm welcome, and brilliant organization of the forum. It has rightfully become an authoritative platform where representatives of authorities, business, experts, and investors can discuss the most pressing issues of cooperation.

Today the global economy is at a stage of deep changes. Turbulence is intensifying, trade wars are escalating, protectionism is widely applied, unfair competition persists. And of course, all this places systemic tasks before us, before countries, on the resolution of which depends whether we can ensure sustainable development of the national economy and achieve an improvement in the quality of life of the citizens of our country.
That is exactly why we are reviewing industrial, technological, and logistical chains, developing new financial and investment instruments, strengthening intergovernmental partnerships in order to give joint responses to the challenges of the times.
Our countries are successfully bringing this approach to life.
At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, noted that Uzbekistan acts as an important connecting link between Russia, Central and South Asia, China, and the Middle East.
Bilateral cooperation has reached a fundamentally new level – economic interaction is expanding, industrial cooperation is developing, and direct interregional ties are being activated.
Together, we continue to strengthen food security. For example: the turnover of agricultural products in the first four months grew almost one and a half times compared to the same period last year.
