Sichuan, June 16 /Xinhua/ — China successfully launched the satellite “Shijian-31” into the designated orbit on Tuesday.

The launch of the spacecraft using the Changzheng-3B / “Great March-3B” carrier rocket began at 17:45 Beijing time from the Xichang Cosmodrome in southwestern China.

The satellite “Shijian-31” will primarily be used for probing the space environment.

This is the 651st flight of the Chang Zheng series carrier rockets. -0-
