In Naberezhnye Chelny from June 12 to 14, an Open Festival of Tourism, Culture, and Sports was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the release of the first KAMAZ truck and the 400th anniversary of Naberezhnye Chelny, uniting the corporate tour “KAMAZ” and the city military-sports rally of working youth.
The solemn opening ceremony took place on June 12 at the “Motherland-Mother” memorial. With welcoming words to the working youth of the city and the auto giant, the Deputy General Director of PJSC “KAMAZ” for Personnel Management, Organizational Development and Corporate Management Zhanna Khaliullina, Chairman of the Trade Union Organization “KAMAZ” Ildar Shamilov, Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the executive committee of Naberezhnye Chelny Leisan Vidineeva, and other leaders addressed the audience.
The trade union leader of the automotive giant noted that the corporate retreat has become a true tradition, which “KAMAZ” carefully cherishes, and also drew attention to the symbolism of uniting two corporate retreats into the country’s main celebration.“On Russia Day, we especially keenly feel what unity is. To love the country means to remember those who defended it, to honor the heroes and to pass this memory on further. It is precisely unity that makes us stronger.”, – saidIldar Shamilov. In turn,Zhanna Khaliullinacongratulated everyone on Russia Day and reminded about the inseparable connection between the city and the auto giant.“On this main national holiday, we are united like never before. The city and KAMAZ are one family. Sport and culture are united. Our festival is the best proof that labor is the key to Russia’s future.”, – he emphasized. In a sign of respect for the feat of the defenders of the Fatherland, the participants of the event laid flowers at the Eternal Flame.
This year, the festival was held in the village of Novy, where 18 teams participated — more than 400 people. The organizers prepared a rich program, which included a tourist obstacle course, shooting, musical lotto, tug-of-war, a military-patriotic song contest, “dexterity of the hands,” orienteering, cross-country race, catamaran competitions, a business card contest, flag defense, and other challenges.
The festival concluded with a solemn awards ceremony. The prizes for the winners were presented by the First Deputy General Director of PJSC “KAMAZ” – Executive Director Irek Gumerov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the automotive giant Ildar Shamilov, and Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny Viner Kharisov.
The winners were determined in two categories – city and Kamazovsk. In the Kamazovsk category, based on the results of three days of competition, the main trophy – the Champion’s Cup – was won by the team of the Deputy General Director – Director for Development (BZGD-D). Second place in the overall team standings was taken by the foundry plant, and the third place and the Small Cup went to the team of the Deputy General Director for Personnel Management, Industrial Development and Corporate Management and CFO (BZGD for UPO and CFO).The holders of the Ivan Pisanov Sports Cup and Tourism Cup – an engineer at RIZA and a hero who died in the special military operation zone – also became the BZGD-DR team. The Culture Cup was awarded to the press-frame factory.
In the city competition, the winner of the first place was the BZHD-DR team. The second place went again to the foundry plant, while the third place was taken by BZHD according to UPO and TSPO. The organizers separately noted the warm and friendly atmosphere: the Friendship Cup was awarded to the “Chelny-Broiler” team.
