Manila, June 12 /Xinhua/ — At least 55 people died and 1120 were injured as a result of a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that occurred on Monday near the southern coast of Mindanao Island in the Philippines, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported on Friday.
