The next stage of accepting applications from regions to participate in the emergency housing resettlement program, which is being implemented within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life,” has been completed. Currently, applications totaling 54 billion rubles from 77 regions have been approved. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“Resettlement from emergency housing is one of the priority tasks of Russia’s construction complex. This work has been underway since 2008 by order of the President. During this time, already 2 million people have relocated from old houses, resettling 32.85 million square meters. Since 2019, the program became part of the national project, and the result is also serious: more than 16 million square meters of unfit housing have been eliminated, and more than 1 million citizens have moved to new homes. Work is currently continuing within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life.”Currently, the Territorial Development Fund, the program operator, has completed another stage of accepting applications from regions to participate in the relocation of emergency housing. Approved applications total 54 billion rubles from 77 regions. Thanks to this, 66 thousand people will be resettled from“1.14 million square meters of emergency housing,” said Marat Khusnullin.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that among other things, funds will be allocated from regional and local budgets as co-financing in the amount of 79 billion rubles.
“The Territory Development Fund, as the program operator, reviews and approves applications from regions, providing targeted financing. Following the last meeting of the board, 23 applications were approved. The volume of support from the fund for them amounted to 10.66 billion rubles, with an additional 10.3 billion rubles added by the regions and municipalities. As a result, 9.3 thousand people will be relocated from emergency housing — this is about 4.4 thousand premises with a total area of 180.4 thousand square meters,” noted Vasily Kupyzin, the General Director of the Territory Development Fund.
The Territory Development Fund, as the operator of the emergency housing resettlement program under the supervision of the Ministry of Construction, continues to work together with the regions to ensure the achievement of all set goals within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” and to contribute to the improvement of citizens’ quality of life.
