Geology is one of the sectors that determine the economic power and technological sovereignty of our country. Russia possesses a unique mineral resource base. The presence of approximately 230 types of mineral resources allows us to be among the world leaders in reserves of natural gas, diamonds, gold, nickel, coal, and other resources.
Thanks to the professionalism of the workers and loyalty to the chosen path, Russia confidently provides itself with strategically important raw materials, develops industry, and strengthens its positions in the global market.
This year we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Geologist’s Day. We honor geologists and geophysicists, drillers, miners, and researchers – people who today, even under the most difficult conditions, continue to discover new deposits and thereby increase the potential of our country.
I want to specifically acknowledge the industry veterans. You have laid a solid foundation for the domestic geological school and now pass on invaluable experience to the younger generation, raising true patriots and professionals. Thank you for your work!
