Beijing, June 11 /Xinhua/ — China will continue to guarantee the rights and interests of representatives of national minorities, women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, the report published on Thursday by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC says.
At the National Action Plan in the field of human rights /2026-2030/, published at the opening ceremony of the High-Level Forum on Global Governance in the field of human rights 2026, the directions of China’s activities on the protection of human rights for the next five years were defined.
Special attention is paid in the action plan to the rights and interests of national minorities, in particular, to promoting the common prosperity and development of all nationalities.
The document also emphasizes the rights and interests of women and contains a call for the active implementation of the main government policy to ensure gender equality.
