Beijing, June 11 /Xin Hua/ — China has called for advancing global governance in the field of human rights, according to a report published Thursday by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC.
At the national level, the action plan in the field of human rights /2026-2030/, published at the opening ceremony of the High-Level Forum on Global Governance in the field of human rights in 2026, outlines China’s work on human rights protection for the next five years.
According to the document, China will develop the common values of all humanity, bring genuine multilateralism to life, advocate for the protection of human rights through ensuring security, promote the realization of human rights through development, and advance the cause of human rights based on cooperation, contributing to the development of global governance in the field of human rights in a fairer, more equal, rational, and inclusive manner.
The plan also emphasizes China’s determination to take a more active role in the activities of the UN in the field of human rights, to conduct dialogue and exchanges with all parties on human rights issues on the basis of equality and mutual respect, to strengthen international cohesion and cooperation, and to contribute to the development of the global human rights protection cause.
