Beijing, June 11 /Xinhua/ — China and the European Union (EU) have agreed to work towards achieving practical results following the first meeting of the bilateral consultations mechanism on trade and investment, the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC said on Wednesday.
Deputy Minister of Commerce, Deputy Representative of China for International Trade Negotiations Lin Zhi held talks on Tuesday in Brussels with the European Commission’s Director-General for Trade and Economic Security Ditte Uhl Jorgensen. The parties conducted an in-depth and comprehensive discussion on issues related to preparatory work for the creation of the specified mechanism.
They also agreed to work on achieving practical results based on the outcomes of the first meeting of the mechanism for consultations on trade and investments between China and the EU, to stabilize bilateral trade and economic relations and to contribute to sustainable development.
