Marat Khusnullin: The readiness of the interchange on the M-11 “Neva” highway is 75%

In the Leningrad region, the implementation of an infrastructure project for the construction of a transport interchange at the 593rd kilometer of the M-11 “Neva” expressway continues. The overall readiness of the facility is 75%, reported Deputy Chairman of the Government Marat Khusnullin.

“In the work on the comprehensive development of regions, we pay special attention to the modernization of the country’s road framework and the creation of a branched network of highways. This opens up new opportunities for economic development and improving the quality of life for Russians. In connection with this, we are conducting systematic work on the implementation of infrastructure projects. One of them is the construction of a transport interchange at the 593rd kilometer of the M-11 “Neva” high-speed highway. As of today, its overall readiness is 75%. The facility is being built at the request of residents and governors of the Leningrad and Novgorod regions.”He will improve transport connectivity between two regions with a federal highway, increase the accessibility of surrounding areas, and shorten the distance to the highway for local residents by tens of kilometers,” said Marat Khusnullin.

A new structure is being erected at the intersection with highway 41A-004 Pavlovo – Mga – Shapki – Lyuban – Oredezh – Luga.

According to Vyacheslav Petushenko, chairman of the board of the state company “Avtodor,” work at the site is in full swing.

“Today, all communications here have been restructured, the installation of culverts is being completed, earthworks are 85% completed, and the road surface is arranged at 75% of the planned volume. Road workers are installing curbstones at the exits, carrying out landscaping of the territory and the slope part of the transport interchange exits, as well as the drainage strips. Attention is being paid to ensuring road traffic safety. In particular, barrier fencing is being installed, as well as embedded parts with subsequent concreting of lighting supports on the single-lane ramps and transport interchange exits.”The facility will be equipped with an automated traffic management system. Thanks to it, control over the road situation will be carried out in real time,” noted Vyacheslav Petushenko.

Currently, 50 people and 13 units of road construction equipment are involved in construction and installation work. The commissioning of the facility is planned for this year.
