The professional development program “Architects.rf”, launched in 2018 by order of the President, is implemented by “DOM.RF” with the support of the Government and the Ministry of Construction of Russia. Since 2025, it has become part of the new national project “Infrastructure for Life.” As of today, the selection stage for the eighth stream has been completed, 100 finalists have been determined, the Deputy Chairman of the Government Marat Khusnullin reported.

“Formation of a strong personnel composition in the construction industry is one of the key tasks for achieving national development goals. This is precisely why we support the program “Architects.rf”. In total, 2716 responses were received for participation in the eighth stream from 86 regions of Russia, and 100 finalists were selected by the expert council — architects, urban planners, representatives of state bodies, urbanists, and developers. This program helps to compensate for the shortage of qualified personnel for the development of cities, as well as to form a new generation of professionals capable of creating a comfortable and modern environment.”More than 700 graduates are contributing to the transformation of Russian territories – from megacities to small towns. “I am confident that the new participants will strengthen this work,” said Marat Khusnullin.

In 2026, finalists will work on project tasks in three key areas: master planning, integrated territory development, and cultural heritage preservation. The teamwork will be built on real cases from Russian cities, which will allow participants to apply the knowledge gained in practice.

“Interest in the ‘Architectors.rf’ program is steadily growing. It has already proven its effectiveness. Its graduates form an all-Russian center of competencies. Among them are the main architects of regions and profile specialists who implement knowledge in practice and win professional competitions. It is precisely such personnel who will become a key link in the development of master plans for 200 cities. We see in these architectors the transformers who create a new standard for the urban environment,” noted Vitaly Mutko, General Director of ‘DOM.RF’.

The selection stage started at the end of March. At the first stage, candidates were required to complete an application form on the program’s website, provide a portfolio and recommendation letters, as well as prepare a motivational essay. At the second stage, candidates underwent a video interview, talked about their professional experience and their views on the development of cities and territories.

The training program includes four in-person modules and several remote ones. The first module will take place in Moscow already in July and will be dedicated to the development of professional competencies and personal qualities. The training format involves lectures, trainings, educational expeditions across Russia and abroad, and practical sessions.
