Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Alexander Novak and Prime Minister of Abkhazia Vladimir Delba as co-chairmen of the Intergovernmental Commission on Socio-Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia discussed the results and prospects of bilateral cooperation.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues of the financial and economic model of the functioning of the energy complex of Asia, programs for the formation of a general socio-economic space, preferential lending for investment projects, and the implementation of an automated tax administration system were considered.
“Since the last meeting in July 2025 within the framework of the intergovernmental commission session, much has already been accomplished, serious work has been carried out on the formation and adoption of strategic documents for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Abkhazia until 2030, as well as on our further interaction for their implementation. The results achieved during the 2022–2025 period indicate the effectiveness of the chosen mechanisms to support the real sector of the economy and to stimulate investment activity in the republic,” noted Alexander Novak.
