Minsk, June 7 /Xinhua/ — Deputy Chairman of the CPC Han Zheng on Saturday called for deepening trade and investment cooperation between China and Belarus for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the China-Belarus Industrial and Investment Cooperation Forum in Minsk, the Deputy Chairman of the CPC noted that in recent years the relations between the two countries have developed at a high level, and economic, trade, and investment cooperation has been yielding fruitful results.
According to Han Zheng, the volume of bilateral trade in 2025 nearly exceeded by 150 times the figure recorded shortly after the establishment of diplomatic relations more than 30 years ago. He also noted that the China-Belarus industrial park has attracted 178 enterprises and has become an effective driver of local economic and social development.
The Deputy Chairman of the CNB called on the two countries to strengthen the coordination of their development strategies, promote high-quality cooperation within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, study new drivers of trade growth, and expand industrial and investment cooperation.
He noted that China consistently adheres to high-quality development and openness at a high level, providing broader opportunities for development to all countries, including Belarus.
The event was organized by the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China-Belarus Industrial Park “Great Stone,” and the National Agency for Investment and Privatization of Belarus.
