Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev visited the booth “Greater Siberia” within the framework of the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Together with the plenipotentiary representative of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Serov and governors, the Vice Premier examined the exposition and familiarized himself with the achievements of the regions.

“Today Siberia confidently confirms its status as one of the key Russian regions. It concentrates enormous natural resources, powerful industrial potential, advanced science, and talented people who contribute to the development of the entire country through their work. In 2025, despite difficult economic conditions and external constraints, the region demonstrated stability and the ability to develop. For example, agricultural production increased by almost 10%. This is one of the best results in the country,” said Dmitry Patrushev.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the supply of CFO products to foreign markets is developing. In particular, the district is one of the main exporters of non-ferrous metallurgy and forestry products.

In addition, the strengthening of the district’s positions should be supported by the Strategy for the Development of Siberia until 2035. Its implementation plan includes more than 80 flagship investment projects. Approximately 50 projects are also being carried out within the framework of the curatorship institute.

Dmitry Patrushev emphasized that the Government of Russia, on its part, will continue to provide the Siberian Federal District with all possible support.
