Residents of the capital are invited to participate in the short film festival “Moscow. Stories. People.” Everyone interested is invited to make a film about outstanding citizens, significant landmarks, culture, contemporary development, and heritage.
For example, the plot can reflect important anniversaries, such as the 65th anniversary of the first human space flight, or the key theme of 2026 — the unity of the peoples of Russia.
“The festival will take place for the first time. It was initiated by our activists. Today we are opening applications. The best works will be presented at the Mosfilm cinema and concert complex at the end of the summer,” she said.

Participation in the festival is open to everyone over 18 years old, both professionals and amateurs. No special equipment is required: a short film can even be shot on a smartphone. The film should have a key theme, a title, and a duration of five to seven minutes. Completed works are accepted until July 1 in the community“Public Advisors”in the social network “VKontakte.”
The jury will evaluate films based on several criteria, such as thematic relevance, originality, screenplay, visual and sound components, as well as editing. Its composition will include actors, directors, cinematographers, and other experts.
The idea to hold a festival was proposed by activists of the capital’s ecosystem “Territory of Opportunities” — students, young parliamentarians, and public advisers. They presented the concept of the cultural project at an educational intensive. The idea was supported and its implementation proposed by Evgeny Andrienko, director of the State Budgetary Institution “City Center for Professional and Career Development.”
The festival organizers are the Moscow Center for Civil Activity and the City Council of Public Advisors.
