Jerusalem, April 4 /Xin Hua/ — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Saturday that it struck key military targets in Tehran.

According to the statement, guided by intelligence, the Israel Defense Forces struck several defense targets, including an air defense facility of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), where missiles intended to target aircraft are located.

The target of strikes also became a military object responsible for protecting research and development centers in the field of weapons, another object used for the destruction of ballistic missiles, and some objects related to the production of weapons, research, and development.

“These strikes are part of an ongoing stage of inflicting increasing damage to Iran’s main systems and infrastructure,” the statement says.

The latest events occurred after the crash of two American military aircraft on Friday after they came under fire from Iran. One pilot of the two-seat F-15 fighter was rescued, while the other is still considered missing.

Two American aircraft losses occurred shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iranian armed forces “can do nothing to American aircraft flying over Tehran.” –0–
