In the art center “Moscow Workshops” of the Agency for Creative Industries of Moscow, subordinate to the capitalDepartment of Culture, on June 5, a new exhibition “It Seems, I Am in Love” will open. The exposition is dedicated to the image of the capital, through which artists explored familiar streets and courtyards, architectural silhouettes, and rhythms of the metropolis. This is a story about love for the city, people, life, and art. Visitors will be presented with about 60 works by 30 contemporary artists — residents of the third season of the project, executed in various techniques, ranging from graphics and painting to sculpture and installations.
Visitors will see portraits of neighborhoods and sketches of modern urban life. On the floor, there is an installation in the form of a city, created by several masters. The idea belongs to Matvey Dergachev. In the composition, Dmitry Sviridov launched an airplane into the sky and parked a car, Nastya Dyachenko added clouds, Anastasia Shmeleva designed a bridge and a panorama of buildings.
The exhibition will be open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 until August 31. For entry, it is necessaryregistration.
“Moscow Workshops” is an urban art center of the Moscow Agency for Creative Industries, providing comprehensive support to contemporary artists—from space and resources to curatorial support. In addition, the project regularly organizes an extensive leisure program for residents and guests of the city. On this open platform, the boundaries between the creative process and the viewer are erased. Anyone interested can see the works of the residents, visit their studios, personally communicate with the authors at intimate art evenings, as well as study and undergo training in workshops.
Creative Industries Agency under the Moscow Department of Culture is an institute for the development of the capital’s creative industries.
