Moscow, April 4 /TASS/ — The main wave of evacuation from the Busher Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) began on Saturday morning. This was reported by the General Director of the Russian state corporation “Rosatom”, Aleksei Likhachev, during a working trip to Yekaterinburg.

According to him, 198 people are being transported by buses towards the Iran-Armenia border.

“We began the main wave of evacuation today, as planned, approximately 20 minutes after this unfortunate strike. Buses moved from the Bushehr station towards the Iran-Armenia border. 198 people, to be exact, the largest wave of evacuation, boarded the buses,” said A. Liyachev.

He also reports that the strike on the AES “Bushehr” actually hit the perimeter of the physical protection. At the same time, the first death of an employee from the security service of the station, a citizen of Iran, was recorded.

“It remains only to guess: was it an accidental strike or a targeted hit, but it was,” said the head of Rosatom. “The likelihood of damage being caused by a possible nuclear-containing incident, unfortunately, only increases day by day.”

Earlier on Saturday morning, the territory of the Bushehr NPP came under fire from the USA and Israel, resulting in the death of a staff member from the physical protection department of the nuclear power plant. This is already the fourth incident involving the Bushehr NPP since the conflict around Iran began on February 28. –0–
