Beijing, June 3 /Xin Hua/ — Playing with words cannot justify Japan’s steps toward rearmament, said the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Mao Ning on Wednesday after the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of Japan recently made corresponding erroneous remarks.

In response to a question from the media at another press conference, Mao Ning said that Japan is disguising military deployment abroad as the exercise of the right to collective self-defense, issuing the buildup of offensive forces to strengthen the capability for retaliatory strikes, and also covering up its export of lethal weapons under the pretext of “cooperation in the field of equipment and technology.” -0-
