At the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the capital presented an installation of the urban project “Moscow Quarters.” It reveals the city’s approaches to developing the residential environment and demonstrates how, with the help of modern construction technologies, new quarters are created with thoughtful infrastructure and comfortable public spaces. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction.Vladimir Efimov.
“The city’s task is not just to stimulate the construction of individual facilities, but to create a balanced environment. Thus, when housing is built in Moscow today, full-fledged neighborhoods are created with social facilities, public spaces, transport connections, and workplaces. This approach helps to form comfortable districts where residents do not need to spend time traveling across the city for basic infrastructure. In addition, the development of such large-scale projects supports the construction industry and provides a stable impulse for the development of the urban economy.”An example of the implementation of such an approach was the “Moscow Quarters” project,” Vladimir Efimov said.
The exhibition sequentially reveals several key directions in the development of urban construction. Visitors are shown how modern residential quarters with ready infrastructure, public spaces, and convenient transport links appear in Moscow. The installation also demonstrates how modern construction solutions help the city maintain a high rate of development. The use of prefab technologies, information modeling technologies, and digital services allows faster commissioning of new homes, more precise quality control of work, and makes the construction process more efficient. All this ensures understandable construction timelines, modern housing, and a more comfortable urban environment.
“The installation ‘Moscow Quarters’ shows what modern urban housing in the capital is becoming today. We have presented not only architectural solutions, but also approaches to the development of the living environment. Special attention is paid to modern construction technologies that allow improving the quality of housing and speeding up project implementation. The stand helps to see how large-scale urban planning decisions directly affect the quality of life of Muscovites,” noted the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the capital’s Department of Urban Planning Policy.
The central element of the exhibition became the art object “St. George the Victorious.” It is a symbol of scale, sustainable development, and the dynamics of the city. On the multimedia screen, visitors see images of modern residential neighborhoods, key project indicators, and main visual highlights.
In addition, the stand demonstrates the economic effect of large-scale urban construction. The development of such projects supports the construction industry, creates a stable volume of orders for developers and manufacturers, and also contributes to the development of urban infrastructure. At the same time, new neighborhoods become a full-fledged part of Moscow — with jobs, social facilities, and convenient public spaces close to homes.
City project“Moscow Quarters”work begins at the end of May 2025. The developer is the Moscow Renovation Fund – a leader in putting real estate into operation in 2025 not only in Moscow, but also in Russia as a whole.
The “Moscow Quarters” project became one of the largest participants in the Moscow new building market, offering buyers apartments in more than 60 districts of the capital.
