Washington, June 2 /Sin Hua/ — The goal of the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu regarding 70 percent of the territory of the Gaza Strip is not part of the US-developed plan of 20 points for ending the conflict between Israel and HAMAS and restoring the territory. This was stated during a hearing before American lawmakers on Tuesday by US Secretary of State Mark Rubio.
“We have a plan, but it doesn’t require this,” said M. Rubio.
“And, in the end, we understand what exactly we are taking away, and I think what the Israelis ultimately wanted was for the Gaza Strip to be governed by an organization not connected to Hamas,” the Secretary of State noted.
