One of the agenda items at the meeting was the conduct of an experiment on the collection of biometric personal data from foreigners entering Russia, which started in 2024. The technology trial is carried out at the Moscow airport checkpoint, as well as at the Mashtakovo automobile checkpoint in the Orenburg region.

“Since the beginning of the experiment, about 2,500 foreign citizens who are not allowed to enter our country have been identified,” noted Denis Manturov.

Participants of the meeting also discussed the possibilities of comprehensively increasing the throughput capacity of border crossing points, taking into account the perspective cargo base.
