Beijing, June 2 /Xinhua/ — A member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, chairman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wan Huning on Tuesday called for achieving greater progress in serving the country by Chinese students and scholars studying abroad.

Van Hunin made a corresponding statement during a meeting with members of the 9th convocation board of the Association of Chinese Students Studying Abroad.

He also met with delegates of the 2nd national congress of the association.

According to Wan Hoonin, the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) will become a key stage in the basic implementation of socialist modernization, which puts forward new requirements for the work of personnel who have received education abroad.

The Chairman of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions (VKT NPKSK) called on the association to unconditionally adhere to the leading role of the party and urged students and scientists who studied abroad not to forget the original aspirations of those who study abroad, and to firmly remember their mission of serving the country.

As he noted, the association should play an active role in promoting modernization in the Chinese style and guide personnel who have received education abroad so that they make their own contributions and achieve results on the new path of comprehensive construction of a modernized socialist state.

Van Hunn added that party committees at all levels should create a favorable environment so that specialists trained abroad can serve the country and support the work of the association. –0–
