By 2032, it is planned to practically double the length of the metro compared to 2010: about 80 more kilometers of lines and over 30 stations will appear, which will make city trips more convenient for hundreds of thousands of residents,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction.
It was in the capital — not far from the Sokolniki Park — that in December 1931 the construction of the country’s first metro began. Today, JSC “Mosmetrostroy” is a leader in metro and tunnel construction and one of the largest construction organizations in Russia. Structurally, the organization belongs to the Urban Development Policy and Construction Complex of the city of Moscow as part of the company JSC “Mosinzhproekt”.
For its merits, the team of JSC “Mosmetrostroy” was awarded four orders — Lenin, October Revolution, Labor Red Banner, and Friendship of Peoples.
“For its own history, the team of Mosmetrostroy has built and reconstructed over 200 stations of the capital’s metro, put into operation more than 600 kilometers of tunnels, over 30 kilometers of road interchanges and highways, more than 400 thousand square meters of residential real estate and industrial facilities.
