Representatives of the academic and business communities gathered at the plenary session of the VIII Moscow Academic Economic Forum at the State University of Management.
The main topic of the meeting was the new contours of the management system for continuing economic development and achieving technological sovereignty.
The meeting was opened by the rector of GUU Vladimir Stroev, who spoke about what happened at the opening of the forum and why these topics are so important today.
“At the plenary session on May 27 at the Russian Academy of Sciences, a comprehensive and all-encompassing analysis of the current situation and events took place; points of growth of the country’s modern economy were openly discussed, and all participants together proposed ways to support economic growth. One of the speakers was the State Secretary of the Union State, head of the Department of Economic Policy and Economic Measurements of the GUU, Sergey Glazyev. Such an open dialogue between the state, the scientific community, and experts is today indispensable,” concluded Vladimir Stroev.
Director of the GUU Institute of Economics and Finance Galina Sorokina reminded that for the second year in a row, the plenary conference is held at our university, and this once again emphasizes that GUU is one of the most important venues for discussing management education and economic problems in the country, as well as one of the drivers of changes in the economy.
After the welcoming remarks, Vladimir Stroev gave a report titled “Personnel for Innovation: New Approaches to Training Change Leaders.” The professor noted that today the training of change leaders should be based on the integration of managerial, engineering, and economic knowledge.
“It is necessary to move from isolated courses to interdisciplinary projects, internships in real production, and involving students in solving technological sovereignty tasks. At GUU, we are training managers who will not just administer but also create growth drivers by connecting science, education, and industrial policy to achieve national goals.”
Head of the Department of Modeling of Production Facilities and Complexes of the Central Economic and Mathematical Institute (CEMI), head of the Department of Institutional Economics of the Institute of Economics and Finance of the GUE, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Georgiy Kleiner shared his view on multipolar enterprise management under conditions of economic intellectualization.
The main thesis of the speech was the necessity of creating a new management system at the enterprise that would unite formal and informal management into a single system and ensure the full development of each employee within the organization.
At the conference with reports, the chief economist of the Department of Strategic Financial Market Development of the Bank of Russia, a graduate of HSE David Monastyrsky, the first deputy director of the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences Lyubov Babich, Galina Sorokina, and the head of the Department of Finance and Credit of HSE Anna Zhilkina also spoke.
Let us remind you that the Moscow Academic Economic Forum has been a permanent platform for discussing current socio-economic development issues of Russia and has been held annually since 2019. Based on the results of the forum, a final document will be developed that unites the main outcomes of the work.
