As part of the business program of the International specialized exhibition CTT EXPO/COMvex-2026, a session “Smart Fleet Management” was held at the “KAMAZ” booth.

The session was dedicated to changes in fleet management under conditions of high operating costs, staff shortages, lack of transparent control over equipment, and pressure on efficiency. The focus of the discussion was the shift from the logic of “the main thing is to buy equipment” to the logic of “the main thing is to manage the fleet as a system,” where important aspects are operational discipline, fuel control, routes, downtime, and asset condition.

The moderator was entrepreneur and well-known expert in logistics, forwarding, and digitalization of the transport industry, founder of the Marshál Group Michael Belousov. Among the participants of the round table were: head of KAMAZ Digital product group Roman Susov; deputy director of the logistics and commerce department of the transport and logistics company NATCAR — a subsidiary of KAMAZ — Evgeny Timakov; General Director of the Vector Group Sergey Osipov; owner of the transport company Kentavr Igor Venediktov; and executive director of JSC Kargonomika Andrey Mamontov.

Within the framework of the meeting, carriers highlighted key industry problems: downtime, inefficient routes, non-transparent use of technology, excessive fuel consumption, and non-compliance with operating modes. Discussion participants agreed that the main financial losses of the business arise not at the stage of purchasing technology, but directly during daily operational work. Experts also raised the question: is it possible today to effectively manage a fleet without digital tools and transparent data, or have such solutions already become a mandatory element of normal operation?

It is worth noting that today “KAMAZ” is no longer limited exclusively to the production of vehicles, but consistently develops an ecosystem approach to a smart fleet and forms a holistic contour in which vehicles, data, services, and management solutions work as a single whole. At the auto giant’s stand, digital and service tools of the company were demonstrated to the discussion participants, which help carriers make their fleet more transparent and manageable.
