12 Polytechnic Students Became Laureates of the St. Petersburg Government Awards

A solemn awarding of the Government of Saint Petersburg prizes for outstanding results in the fields of science and technology, as well as for outstanding achievements in higher and secondary professional education, took place at Smolny. The event was dedicated to City Day. In total, 71 people received the Government of Saint Petersburg prizes, including 12 specialists from the Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University Peter the Great.

We all continue the work of Peter the First — the one who created a great empire, Russia, our beautiful city with you. Today Petersburg is worthily fulfilling the President’s assignment to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the country,— stated the governor of Saint Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, at the solemn award ceremony.— The city firmly holds second place in the ranking of scientific and technological development of regions.

The “For Outstanding Scientific Results in the Field of Science and Technology” awards have been given annually since 2000. Over 25 years, 379 people have become recipients, including 96 young scientists. This year, five politicians immediately became laureates of these awards:

Vitaliy Sergeev, the first rector of SPbPU, is a laureate of the award in the nomination “Technical Sciences — the A. N. Krylov Prize” for a series of works on the development and implementation of resource-saving solutions in energy and construction;

Irina Rudskaya,Professor of the Higher Engineering and Economic School of the Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade of SPbPU, laureate of the prize in the category “Social Sciences — V. V. Novozhilov Prize” for the development of a methodology for analyzing and strategically managing the development of regional innovation systems and sectoral complexes;

Alek Krasnov, associate professor of the Higher School of Service and Trade of the Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade of SPbPU, — laureate of the award in the nomination “Humanities and Social Sciences — E. P. Dashkova Prize” for the development of theoretical foundations of influence marketing and transformation of consumer behavior in the digital environment;

Aleksei Filimonov, professor of the Higher Engineering-Physical School of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of SPbPU, — laureate of the prize in the nomination «Nanotechnologies — the Zh.I. Alferov Prize» for the cycle of works «Nanostructured antiferromagnetic materials as a basis for modern microelectronics»;

Vladimir Zaborovsky, professor of the Higher School of Artificial Intelligence of the Institute of Computer Science and Cybersecurity of SPbPU, — laureate of the award in the nomination “Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence — G. A. Leonov Award” for the development of the theory and technologies of resource management of hybrid supercomputers using machine learning methods.

Since 2007, 20 annual awards have been granted by the Government of Saint Petersburg in the field of higher and secondary professional education. In 2026, 69 works were submitted for the awards. The average competition was 3.5 works per award.

In the nomination “Organizational solutions for improving the quality of specialist training,” the laureates were:

Marina Bolsunovskaya, head of the laboratory “Industrial flow processing systems” of the PISH SPbPU;Nadezhda Grashchenko, Associate Professor of the Higher Engineering and Economic School of the Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade of SPbPU;Svetlana Kalmykova, director of the Center for Open Education, — for the work “Model for Assessing Educational Outcomes Based on the Digital Profile of a Learner in an Electronic Educational Environment with Elements of Artificial Intelligence”.

In the nomination “Scientific achievements contributing to the improvement of the quality of training specialists and highly qualified personnel”, the laureates were:

Yuri Lazarev, director of the Higher School of Industrial-Civil and Road Construction of the Engineering and Construction Institute of SPbPU;Liliya Talipova, senior lecturer at the Higher School of Industrial and Civil and Road Construction, — for the development of educational modules based on the implemented geoinformation system of the transport infrastructure of the Saint Petersburg urban agglomeration for training specialists and highly qualified personnel.

In the nomination “Integration of education, science, and industry,” the laureates were:

Oleg Rozhdestvensky, Head of the Office of Technological Leadership of SPbPU;Konstantin Savichev, director of the engineering center of JSC “Power Machines”;Arseniy Klyuyev, senior lecturer at the Higher School of Power Engineering of the Power Engineering Institute of SPbPU — for creating a multi-level ecosystem (school-college-university-enterprise) for nurturing and educating a new generation of Russian engineers.
