At the Bayun International Airport, a ceremonial meeting took place for the first flight from Tashkent. The Deputy General Director of the airport’s managing company, Ci Yaomin, emphasized that the opening of the new air route is not just an expansion of flight geography, but a modern continuation of the Great Silk Road into a new era.
According to him, direct regular air communication between Guangzhou and Tashkent should give a strong impetus to the further deepening of trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian ties between China and Uzbekistan.
