Saint Petersburg Peter the Great Polytechnic University and Altai University have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing a system of additional professional education and training personnel for the field of unmanned aviation systems and related high-tech areas. The new partnership expands the ecosystem of personnel training at SPbPU and opens up additional opportunities for shaping modern educational and engineering trajectories.
The agreement provides for joint development and implementation of additional professional programs, including in a network format, including advanced training programs, professional retraining, intensive and specialized educational tracks. Special attention is planned to be paid to the training of specialists for the unmanned aviation systems industry: operators, technical specialists, instructors, and test engineers.A separate direction will be the development of training programs for professional instructors in training UAV operators, aimed at forming practical skills in operation, support, and safe use of unmanned systems.
The new partnership strengthens the capabilities of SPbPU, whichPreviously received the status of an interregional center for training personnel for unmanned aviation systems. Cooperation with Altshu University will allow combining the academic and methodological potential of Politechnika with the practical competencies of the industrial community and experience in implementing educational projects in the field of BAS.
Coordinates work on the development of educational initiatives and implementation of joint projects within the framework of the agreement of the Directorate of Additional Education and Industry Partnership of SPbPU. The division provides the development and support of additional professional education programs, as well as acts as an integrator of projects for training personnel in the field of unmanned aviation systems.
Signing an agreement with Altshu University is an important stage in the development of SPbPU’s continuing education ecosystem and the expansion of the university’s partnership network in the field of unmanned systems. The integration of Polytech’s academic competences and practical industry experience makes it possible to build a comprehensive framework for personnel training—from forming basic competencies to involving trainees in solving applied engineering problems.Such a model is aimed not only at training specialists, but also at developing the human resource potential to ensure the technological leadership of the country, Dmitry Tiyonov, Vice-Rector for Additional and Pre-University Education at SPbPU, noted.

The implementation of the agreement will allow the formation of a sustainable mechanism for the training and development of personnel for the field of unmanned aviation systems, combining educational programs, engineering competencies, and interaction with industrial partners.
