Moscow is actively developing ground transport and implementing modern services for passengers. Inside the electric bus, the first stickers with the image of a children’s character — Elektrobusic — were placed. The sticker in an accessible format explains what needs to be done if a child gets lost. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.Maksim Liksutov.
“Following the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin, we are paying special attention to children’s safety. At the Southern river station, a presentation of new stickers for surface urban transport took place, which will help lost children return to their parents as quickly as possible. Such stickers have already appeared on more than 100 electric buses. We plan to place them on the entire rolling stock of Mosgortrans in the new academic year,” said Maksim Liksutov.
The president of the “Search for Missing Children” foundation, a member of the Public Council presidium under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Dmitry Vtorov, noted that the expansion of the “Lost? Do Not Wander!” project will allow Moscow to become an even safer metropolis, one that cares about its little passengers.
“Situations where children get lost in transport are not uncommon. Therefore, it is very important that there are now stickers on the electric bus that will indicate what to do in such cases. Parents, be sure to show these stickers to your children and explain that the driver will always come to help,” noted Dmitry Vtorov.
Stickers draw the child’s attention to safety measures and urge to follow certain behavioral rules in the current situation:
— do not panic and do not get off transport with strangers;
— wait for a stop so as not to distract the driver from driving;
— to contact the driver and provide information about yourself.
Safety Day at the Southern River Station
The project was launched by the State Unitary Enterprise “Mosgortrans” and the “Search for Missing Children” fund specifically for ground urban transport. It was presented on May 23 at the South River Station within the framework of Safety Day, timed to the International Missing Children’s Day. The latter is observed annually on May 25. The event was attended by more than two thousand people.
At the Southern river station, lectures on safety for children and their parents were read. During the day, it was possible to participate in an interactive lesson on the electric bus at the site. It was conducted by the driver of the GUP “Mosgortrans” and controllers of GKU “Road Transport Organizer”. In addition, guests could visit the zone with electric scooters and the special center of the Moscow Government’s Road Traffic Organization.
A quest took place throughout the entire territory of the river station. Its participants received guaranteed prizes from Moscow Transport. At the end of the event, the main prize was drawn—a model electric bus.
All buses and electric buses of the GUP “Mosgortrans” comply with the highest standards of passenger quality and safety. Low-floor transport is fully adapted for the comfort of people with reduced mobility. For this purpose, there is a folding apparatus and driver call buttons, which will assist upon request to enter and leave the vehicle. Bicycles, strollers, or large luggage can be conveniently placed on the accumulation platform.
You can pay for the ride by any convenient method using digital validators. An air curtain activates on the electric bus when the doors open. It helps maintain a comfortable temperature inside the cabin. For passenger safety, the transport is equipped with video cameras outside and inside.
