Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated students and teachers on the end of the school year.

“Dear friends, each of you has already gone through a long journey. The school years have laid the foundation of knowledge, values, and memories that will support you throughout your entire future life. You will have to take exams, decide on your future profession. I urge you to choose those specialties that are related to the priority areas for Russia, and to contribute to the prosperity of your native regions and the whole country,” noted the vice-premier.

In the new academic year, approximately 880 thousand budget places for SPO programs and over 620 thousand for higher education will be available to applicants. The largest number is in engineering and technical specialties.

Dmitry Chernyshenko also thanked teachers and parents for the development and support of young people.

“We truly have many talented, wonderful, and sincerely dedicated teachers who are passionate about their work. This is noted by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Dear educators! Thanks to you, schoolchildren reveal their abilities and talents. Measures of the national project “Youth and Children” are also aimed at this – within its framework, educational infrastructure is created, competitions and olympiads are held to improve the quality of teaching in colleges, technical schools, and universities, “Professionalism” and “Priority-2030” operate, world-class campuses are being built,” added the Deputy Prime Minister.

In conclusion, he wished the kids to carry strong school friendships throughout their lives, gratitude to the teachers, and warm memories of the year spent together.
