In recent days, Chinese roses on the streets of Beijing have attracted widespread attention and caused a real sensation on social networks.

It is expected that by November of this year the garland of roses on Beijing’s Fourth Ring Road will be brought together, and the city will be decorated with a “necklace of roses” stretching a total length of 65.3 km. Along the entire route of the Fourth Ring Road, it is planned to plant a total of 713 thousand rose bushes of various varieties.

Modern technologies also contribute to preserving this beauty. Along the entire length of the ring road, 500 km of new irrigation pipelines have been laid. An intelligent irrigation system is used, which allows saving more than 50% of water and reducing the volume of manual watering by 60%.

In the 1980s, yueji and chrysanthemum were both confirmed as Beijing city flowers. Among them, yueji adapts well to Beijing’s climate, is highly resistant to diseases, has low maintenance costs, and its blooming period lasts from May to November. As of now, nearly 2,000 varieties of yueji have been cultivated in Beijing, forming a yueji scenic belt stretching over a thousand li.

In the 1980s of the last century, the Chinese rose and chrysanthemum were jointly declared the urban flowers of Beijing. The rose is well adapted to Beijing’s climate, resistant to diseases, requires low maintenance costs, and blooms from May to November. As of today, there are almost 2,000 varieties of roses in Beijing, with compositions spanning more than a thousand kilometers.
