Beijing, May 25 /Xinhua/ — China and Pakistan must stand shoulder to shoulder in increasingly complex external circumstances. This was stated on Monday by the Deputy Chairman of the NPC, Han Zheng.

Han Zheng made an appropriate statement in Beijing on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, in which the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, also participated.

About 400 people attended the reception, representing various circles of both countries.

As noted by the Vice Chairman of the CPC, China and Pakistan, being close neighbors connected by common mountains and rivers, as well as loyal friends with a shared destiny, have adhered to the principles of mutual respect, trust, support, and assistance unwaveringly for 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, becoming a model of friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between countries with different systems and cultures.

According to Han Zheng, China is ready to work together with Pakistan to consistently bring to life the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, to use the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to promote traditional friendship, strengthen strategic communication, deepen practical cooperation, and accelerate the building of a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in a new era.

Sh. Sharif on his part stated that the friendship between Pakistan and China is unbreakable and has reached unprecedented heights.

Pakistan aspires to great achievements in development, attained by the Chinese people, and is ready to learn and adopt China’s experience to stimulate its own development, as well as to pass on the unbreakable friendship between the two countries from generation to generation, the Prime Minister emphasized. –0–
