On May 22, as part of the business program of the VII International Transport Festival “Transportfest-2026” in St. Petersburg, the V International Children’s Automobile Forum (DAF-2026) was held, dedicated to the development of the automobile industry and the training of engineering personnel.

The organizers of the forum were the Union “Avtoprom Severozapad” and the Saint Petersburg regional branch of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia (LLC “SoyuzMash Russia”). The event was held with the support of the Association “Union of Russian Automakers”, the Association of Automotive Engineers, the Trade Union of Workers of Automotive and Agricultural Engineering of Russia, the National Association of Auto Industry Component Suppliers, and LLC “Autozavod Saint Petersburg”.

Within the framework of the scientific and educational session, the finals of the career guidance projects “Fortuna” and the contest “RoboLab: transport robotic projects” took place. Participants presented to the expert commission developments in the field of transport means, special machines, and robotic solutions.

Following the results of the “Fortuna” competition, the joint team of SPBGASU and the Saint Petersburg State Art-Industrial Academy named after A. L. Stieglitz took second place with the project “AMR-Next: Intellectual Autonomous Platform for Industrial Logistics of Auto Factories.” The project is dedicated to the development of an intellectual transport platform for the automation of production processes at automobile industry enterprises.

First place – awarded to the joint team of the Zh. Ya. Kotin Machine Building Academy and the A. L. Shtiglitz Academy for the project “Electric Machine MT-809MK.” Third place was awarded to the team of the Center for Children’s (Youth) Technical Creativity “Ost” of the Krasnogvardeysky District of Petersburg for the development “Trudovichok – assistant universal service manager.”

The forum continued at the Cinema House with a cooperative session dedicated to the interaction between educational organizations and employers in the automotive transport sector in the field of personnel training and the implementation of joint scientific and technical projects. Participants discussed successful practices of student design bureaus and promising areas of cooperation.
