Students of SPbGASU became prize-winners of the “Criminological Games”

Contest participants

The first stage of the large-scale intellectual project “Criminological Games 2026” was completed at the Saint Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee. The event was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the academy’s establishment. The team from the Saint Petersburg State Architectural and Construction University became one of the prize-winners of the competition.

12 teams participated in the intellectual competition, besides our university, representing the Saint Petersburg Law Institute (branch) of the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the Saint Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Saint Petersburg University of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of Russia, the Northwestern branch of the Russian State University of Justice named after V. M. Lebedev, and other universities of the Northern capital.

In the course of the game, participants had to solve tasks dedicated to the works of representatives of the Neva-Volga criminological school, as well as answer theoretical questions, which required from the players not only erudition, but also strategic thinking.

As the jury, legal experts participated: professor, Doctor of Juridical SciencesLarisa Gotchina(Saint Petersburg Legal Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation), Associate Professor, Candidate of Legal SciencesElena Markova(Department of Legal Regulation of Urban Planning Activities and Transport, Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport, SPbGASU), senior lecturer, candidate of legal sciencesDavid Gamidov(FSIN University of Russia) and associate professor, candidate of legal sciencesVictoria Semyonova(Saint Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee).

According to the results of the first stage of the games, the places were distributed as follows: first place was taken by the teams of the Saint Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee and the Saint Petersburg Law Institute (branch) of the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation; second place went to the team of the Northwestern Branch of the Russian State University of Justice named after V. M. Lebedev; third place was shared by the teams of SPBGASU and the Saint Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The jury noted the high level of team preparation. The continuation of “Criminological Games 2026” is planned for the autumn semester.
