The orienteering competition “Russian Azimuth-2026”, held annually as part of the implementation of the state program “Sport of Russia”, gathered more than 200 NSU students. On the same day, experienced athletes and simply active leisure enthusiasts took to the start in 60 cities across our country. In Novosibirsk, these competitions were held for the fourth time on the territory of the NSU campus, and this year, the deputy governor of the Novosibirsk region gave a welcoming speech.Valentina Anatolyevna Dudnikova– an honorary guest of the event.
Participants ran the distance of their choice: experienced navigators had to find 26 control points (CP) – for men, and 22 CP – for women, while beginners in this sport aimed to find only 15 CP.
Among the athletes, the leaders were:
1st place –Dmitry Alimov(FF) andAlesya Patrina(FEN)
2nd place –Aleksandr Biryukov(FITCH) andDarina Zelenkova(IMF)
3rd place –Yaroslav Myasnikov(AFP) andLyubov Kutyreva(FEN)
Among beginners, the best results were shown by:
1st place –Dmitry Vasiliev(FF) andArina Surova(FEN)
2nd place –Stepan Bezguzikov(FEN) andAleksandra Kancher(FEN)
3rd place –Grigory Klochin(FEN) andAnna Dotsenko(IFP)
