New York, May 21 /Xin Hua/ — Three people were found dead, more than a dozen emergency service workers were placed in quarantine after contact with an unidentified substance during the provision of assistance in a suspected drug overdose in the American town of Mountnayier /state of New Mexico/. Authorities reported this on Wednesday.

According to the statement of Wilson County police officer Silver, the probable cause of death was drugs. Later, emergency personnel experienced nausea and dizziness, after which they were taken to the University of New Mexico hospital.

Hospital representatives reported that 23 people underwent medical examination and disinfection procedure. Most of them are emergency service workers who were later discharged due to the absence of symptoms. However, three patients with symptoms remain under observation, their condition is assessed as severe.
