“Orenburgneft” (a key production asset of Rosneft in the Volga region) held a large-scale trail run. For the first time in the region, light aircraft conquered the ancient peaks of the Ural foothills. From a bird’s-eye view, these rocky ridges resemble a dragon’s back. Here begins the great Russian mountain range – the legendary “Stone Belt” of Russia.
A large-scale event brought together more than one and a half thousand people. Among the guests and race participants were employees of Rosneft enterprises in the Volga region, professional athletes, and fans of active recreation. Depending on their preparation, it was possible to choose distances of 25 km, 10 km, and 5 km. For the youngest participants, a special children’s race of one kilometer was organized.

These places are part of the popular bus routes “Power of Nature” and “…”Patterns of the Orenburg winterRepresentatives of “Orenburgneft” presented to the guests five tourist routes for road travelers, opened over the past two years. All of them were created in cooperation with the government of the Orenburg region.
The winners in the overall classification at all trail distances received original medals and useful travel gifts from the Company.
The company volunteers held a quiz “Encyclopedia of the Native Land”, dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, whose participants learned about the history, culture, and customs of the ethnic groups and peoples of the region, remarkable personalities whose lives were connected with Orenburg. The most erudite participants received commemorative souvenirs from the Company.
Development of sports and tourism is an important direction of social work of Rosneft. Orenburgneft supports a healthy lifestyle and social initiatives in the region. The enterprise is a partner of the All-Russian Buzuluk Half Marathon, organizes various sports competitions, charity and thematic runs and challenges – “Energy of the Fight”, “Fluffy Run”, “Autumn with Sports” and others. Together with employees of all ages in the sports project, veterans and youth of the “First Movement” participate.In addition, the company’s employees are regular participants in competitions of various levels: running events such as “Energy of Life,” IRONSTAR triathlon starts as part of the “Rosneft” team, and regional labor sports festivals.
