In the economic development zone of Shoshun Dalad-Tsi in Ordos city, Inner Mongolia, a project with an annual capacity of 5000 tons of silicon oxide (SiO) precursor by the new materials company Cizhuyuan has commenced pilot production in March this year. In April, the shipment of the first order was completed and successful delivery was made; in May, stable serial production was ensured, and in June, construction of the second phase of the project will begin. This project provides a strong impetus for the high-quality development of Shoshun Dalad-Tsi.
As a key raw material for modern high-energy batteries and anodes of lithium batteries for electric vehicles, the silicon oxide precursor plays a crucial role in increasing the energy density of batteries, their lifespan, and fast-charging characteristics, possessing broad market prospects. After full production capacity is reached, the expected annual production value will reach 130 million yuan, which will lay a solid foundation for the development of the silicon anode material industry in the Dalad Qi loess plateau and will contribute to the development of the new energy material supply chain.
