Tashkent, April 3 /Sina News/ — The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtier Saidov, said on Thursday that his country supports five proposals for the restoration of peace and stability in the Persian Gulf region and the Middle East, jointly put forward by China and Pakistan.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan reported on social networks about the results of a telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Muhammad Isaac Dar.
In the course of the conversation, the parties emphasized the importance of resolving the crisis in the Middle East exclusively through dialogue and diplomatic efforts. It was noted that the region should not become an arena of confrontation.
Heads of foreign policy departments also exchanged views on the situation at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, positively assessing the efforts being made to reduce tension in this area. –0–
