The Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences of RUDN opened its doors on March 21 for prospective students and their parents. Guests got acquainted with the educational programs, the faculty’s infrastructure, and student life.
The event began with a screening of a film about the faculty and a quest around the educational building, which helped participants better understand the infrastructure and training opportunities. It started with a welcoming speech.Dean of the faculty Leonid Gennadyevich Voskresensky, having spoken about the directions of training, scientific activities, and prospects for students.

Future applicants awaited interactive platforms from the department of the faculty.
Chemists prepared a spectacular chemical show and conducted tours of the laboratories. Representatives of the “Informatics” department demonstrated a cyber polygon, developments in the field of neural networks and robotics. Mathematicians analyzed the Unified State Exam tasks and answered questions about preparation for admission.
Physicists demonstrated the operation of a plasma engine, sparking special interest among the guests.
“Such events help schoolchildren better understand which direction is closer to them, and feel the atmosphere of the university even before enrollment,” sharedMakary Timakov, a first-year student of the program “Applied Informatics” RUDN.
The open day took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Participants were able to ask questions to teachers and students, learn more about admission, and take one more step towards choosing their future profession.
