Mexico, May 17 /Cina Hua/ — At least 10 people were killed early Sunday morning as a result of an attack by unknown armed individuals in the municipality of Tehuicingo in the state of Puebla in central Mexico. This was reported by local authorities.
According to the state Ministry of Public Security, the victims of the attack were six men, three women, and a minor.
Security in this area was strengthened with the support of the military personnel, reported Francisco Sanchez, the Secretary of Public Safety of the state.
The prosecutor of Pueblo, Idamis Pastor Betancur, said that one line of investigation points to a possible family case, noting that preliminary findings show that six victims belonged to one family, and four others were workers.
Security forces have launched an operation to find the perpetrators, while investigators continue to work on establishing the motives of the attack.
