Kabul, May 17 /Sin Hua/ — Five passengers died and one more was injured on Saturday evening as a result of a road traffic accident in Wardak province in eastern Afghanistan. This was reported on Sunday by the provincial police representative Yusuf Israr.

Naming reckless driving as the cause of the fatal accident, the officer stated that on Saturday evening, the car collided with another vehicle moving in the opposite direction, resulting in five passengers dying at the scene and one more being seriously injured.

As a result of a similar accident early Saturday morning in the Faryab province in the north of the country, one person also died.
