Gaza/Jerusalem, May 16 /Sin Hua/ — The death of a high-ranking commander of the “Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades,” the military wing of the Hamas movement, Izz ad-Din al-Haddad, has been confirmed. Preparations for his funeral began on Saturday.
I. al-Haddad was killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike on Friday evening.
Palestinian sources reported that a wake prayer for I. al-Haddad will be held in a mosque in the city of Gaza before his burial. According to reports, the wife and daughter of the killed commander, who died along with him, will also be buried.
In turn, the Israel Defense Forces /IDF/ and the General Security Service /Shin Bet/ jointly confirmed on Saturday that I. al-Haddad was killed on Friday as a result of an Israeli airstrike on Gaza.
