With the support of “Samotlorneftegaz”, one of the key production enterprises of “Rosneft”, a multifunctional cultural and educational center was built in the village of Laryak, one of the oldest settlements of Yugra. The project was implemented within the framework of the cooperation agreement between “Rosneft” and the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra.
The new center has become the main venue for leisure activities for the residents of Laryak and nearby settlements. In a two-story building with a total area of 2,700 square meters, three social institutions are housed: a cultural center, a children’s school of arts, and a library. The new center is designed for 5,000 visits per week. Its technical capabilities allow conducting cultural and educational events at a high level.
A large stage has been built in the center, equipped with modern sound, lighting equipment, and stage mechanics for hosting celebrations, concerts, and festivals. The comfortable auditorium accommodates 150 visitors.
For each educational direction – choreography, visual arts, vocal singing, playing musical instruments – separate rooms are equipped. Students of the children’s art school have repeatedly won awards in creative competitions, including at the all-Russian and international levels. More than half of the children from rural areas study at the art school. Specialized rooms open up wide opportunities for the development of children’s creative talents.
The library premises allow for educational events to be held in collaboration with other cultural institutions of the villages. The library, whose book collection exceeds 16,000 copies, is visited by every second resident of Laryak.
Special attention was paid to creating an accessible barrier-free environment during the construction of the cultural and educational center. Modern lifts for moving between floors were installed in the building.
Rosneft and its subsidiaries actively support initiatives aimed at creating favorable living conditions in the regions where they operate. The Company pays great attention to cultural and educational projects.
